Part 1: Anticipating implementation right from the choice of technology? Deconstruct the illusion of easy solutions and put people back at the center. Internal criteria & external criteria for choosing the technology, who to involve in the decision-making.

Part 2: Case study - the complex and successful implementation of a new technology in various contexts With testimonials from a healthcare professional having experienced successful and / or failed implementations.

Part 3: Managing the implementation as a specific and challenging project for the organisation.

  • Think: what are the processes, work habits and stakeholders affected by the new technology
  • Define goals: what impact is the new technology expected to have?
  • Plan: allocate sufficient resources to implementation
  • Map: define stakeholders, identify pathways as well as the practices and safety and quality criteria

TYPE/FORMAT

The day is divided into passive and active periods. During passive periods, the participants are being presented with educational material, combining theoretical presentations and practical examples. During active periods, the audience is divided into small groups, to discuss case studies and examples provided by the participants themselves.

A folder containing the day's presentations will be given to participants so that they can mark them up.
